Product Introduction: Tetrodotoxin (TTX) is an amino perhydroquinazoline compound with the molecular formula C11H17N3O8. It is a potent non-protein neurotoxin, which mainly acts by highly selective blocking of voltage-gated sodium channels. After ingestion, it is rapidly absorbed by the intestinal tract, enters the bloodstream and reaches the whole body through the circulatory system, causing vomiting, diarrhea, and decreased blood pressure. Neurological dysfunction, limb paralysis, loss of motor ability, severe cases can lead to respiratory failure and cardiovascular failure. The European Union Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has set maximum residue limits for tetrodotoxin in shellfish tissues
Scope of application: It is suitable for rapid qualitative detection of tetrodotoxin in fish, shrimp, shellfish and other tissues.
Detection limit: 44 μg/kg.
